About the bottom/top issue, I'd like to share my opinion as a gay KyuMin fanboy. In a normal gay relationship there's nothing like an eternal bottom/eternal top. Why? Because it's biologically impossible for a person's anus to be always the receiving. There's a lot of documentation about it in the internet so people who likes to claim their knowledge about the issue, should go and read. Forgive my bluntness but I think people who read smut should know gay sex isn't as simple as seen in fanfics.

That makes a lot of sense though, so I understand what you mean. Haha, nah, you’re not blunt at all though. I actually really dislike people who insist on one SET bottom and one SET top. I understand if you have your preferences (I have mine, I know that), but to insist that someone always bottoms and another always tops is pretty ridiculous.

But I think, in the case of fanfics, when you think fanfic you just think a portion of a pairing’s life, so people choose preferences out of that? Does that make sense? Like, fanfics rarely ever span over life entirely - they focus on one part, and people would prefer their preferred top to top at that time…?
